PRODUCT FEATURES

Viscosity cup, also known as Cain cup, is based on the American Society of Materials Laboratories paint and raw materials standard ASTM No. D4212-93 “immersion viscosity cup of the standard experimental method” in the relevant provisions and combined with the actual production and manufacture. This viscosity cup is used to test the viscosity of Newtonian or near-Newtonian liquids. Cain's cup is the ideal tool for controlling the viscosity of products used in the coating production process. Note: A stopwatch of relatively high accuracy is required for use.

● Measured values may vary depending on the type of liquid to be measured, environmental conditions, and measurement method. In addition, the error increases when the measured value is greater than 100 seconds/NK-2.

● The viscosity conversion table on the left shows the approximate values obtained from the measured values of the viscosity cup. The conversion values obtained using this table are reference values, not guaranteed values.



Operating Requirements


Pick up the handle of the portable viscosity cup, completely immerse the cup in the sample, and then quickly and smoothly lift the cup vertically from the sample to be measured. When the upper end of the cup leaves the liquid surface timing, liquid outflow must keep the cup vertical, at the same time with the liquid distance of not more than 150mm, when the first drop of liquid breakage to stop timing, repeated several times for the average value.
